Iowa metal band Slipknot are gearing up for the release of their fifth studio album and have recently shared their heavy third single "Custer" via YouTube.

The frantic tune is driven by a new drummer, who is suspected to be former Against Me! beatkeeper Jay Weinberg (son of The E Street Band drum virtuoso Max), and plenty of repeating curse words, as NME points out. Frontman Corey Taylor kicks the track off with a spoken-word introduction, sounding eerily similar to Five Finger Death Punch singer Ivan Moody. Don't listen to this one if you're recovering from a headache ... it won't make you feel any better (listen below).

Guitarist Jim Root talked to Guitar World recently about the identity of the new drummer, who will take the place of longtime member Joey Jordison following his dismissal last December. "We're not saying who the new drummer is," Root said. "Even if people find out beyond a shadow of a doubt who the new drummer is, I think we're always going to deny who it is. He might not last. He might tour with us a year and figure out we're all insane and he can't handle being around us. Or we might shut him out. Who knows? For Slipknot, I'd say drumming is only 50 or 60 percent of the job. The rest of it is who you are and what your personality is. Will you clash with guys like me, Mick, Clown, Corey, Craig and Chris? We all have these strong alpha-male personalities."

.5: The Gray Chapter, out October 20, will be the first Slipknot album not to feature founder member and bassist Paul Gray, who died in 2010 from an overdose. Gray's last effort with the band was 2008's All Hope Is Gone, which went straight to number one on the Billboard 200 chart thanks to songs like "Sulfur" and "Dead Memories."
