Michael Muhney has moved on from daytime drama and seems excited for his legion of fans to see the new projects he is working on. The actor spent four years slaving away on CBS's soundstage, breathing life into Adam Newman on The Young and the Restless before being fired under scandalous circumstances in December. While the actor admitted in August that he had been negotiating a return to the soap, which ultimately fell through, his fans sat on the fence about even the possibility of going back to the soap they felt had treated him badly. Muhney is now working on four different film roles, proving he was more than capable of landing other projects when he finally decided to move on.

Muhney likes to keep his large fan base updated via his Twitter, and since officially severing his connection to Y&R his postings have been pretty upbeat. On Tuesday, Oct. 14, he posted, "Sometimes, when u start over, u have to deal with manure, rocks, mud, new seeds...but after a while u start smelling the freshest roses."

He recently explained that he has several roles in the works:

"My latest film roles: 1) The love interest & antagonist. 2) A married man in the closet, coming out. 3) A Redneck White Trash Pimp. #THESPIANism,"

"And this 4th movie? Leading role starts shooting in January. WWII soldier fighting the Nazis...it's English Patient meets Boys From Brazil!"

Before heading to daytime, Muhney spent 11 years working in primetime television, something he would return to if the role was right. In the meantime, he seems content to spend shorter amounts of time with various film roles.
