It has been a few weeks since the story first broke about a violent scuffle between Love & Hip Hop Hollywood stars' Masika Kalysha Tucker and Yung Berg. Earlier this month the couple hopped a flight to NYC to take part in the filming of the reality show's reunion. After the taping they were apparently out and Berg's credit card was declined. He bounced, leaving Tucker to handle the bill, which she did. Once she got back to their hotel room a fight ensued, during which Tucker was reportedly hit, dragged by her hair and choked out. Police were called and Berg was booked on a felony charge for obstructing her airway. Tucker has finally decided to comment on the ordeal and no doubt, her words aren't necessarily going to sit very well.
Tucker chatted with Sister 2 Sister and while she and Berg aren't exactly in contact, she is also minimizing the violence on his part.
"My focus right now is him being better. The focus should not be on us being a couple right now. It's best that we don't communicate as we were. I feel like the only abuse issue that he has is alcohol abuse. I do feel like he has a drinking issue and that's the issue at this time. It was not an abusive situation. It was not an abuse situation. He did not attack me; he did not knock me out. He did not beat me up, none of that happened. He was very drunk. It was to the point where he didn't really know his bearings. He needs to be focused on getting these charges dropped and getting the drinking under control," said Tucker.
While Berg likely does have some issues with alcohol, can you believe that Tucker is using it to minimize the violence that allegedly occurred? The original charges were based upon her account of what had happened when police first arrived on the scene, right? It's obvious that Tucker has no plans of pushing for the charges against Berg to stick, but the police could still do it without her involvement because she had signs of physical trauma. Ironically, Berg, on his official posted a joke in reference to choking a woman and Tucker reportedly liked it!
