She released "The Heart Wants What It Wants" video earlier this month. and has implied the song is about longtime boyfriend Justin Bieber.

Our own Carolyn Menyes wrote about the release and following interviews: Gomez, who had a rocky year with a cancelled tour and relationship drama, admitted that her search for herself took up a majority of 2014 and that it's not easy to be judged when discovering yourself.

"I think the biggest problem that I had this year, even with him on his side is identity," Gomez said. "I'm 21, this year I turned 22. I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing. It was the first time when I was constantly kicked down for doing that."

Although she is pretty young, she claims to have found closure.

"I think in a lot of ways, I'm just at peace now," Gomez said. "I think there's a struggle with figuring out is it right, is it wrong. I don't know what the future holds, and that's exactly what I say in the song."
