Back in September, Rick Ross shared photos of Meek Mill and offered up an update on the incarcerated rappers status. The MMG boss recently revealed that Meek now has a month or less to go behind bars.

During a recent interview with Hot 97, Ross alerted everyone to the Philadelphia rapper's status. While he admitted there is still some uncertainty regarding his release date, Ross hopes Meek will be released in time for the holidays.

"I spoke to him and it may be five days from now," Ross said when asked about a Meek Mill update. "The big homie was sentenced to six months off the rip. We done got our hopes up a couple of times so I said I wasn't going to feed into that again. When he come home, he come home. At worst it won't be more than a month at this point."

As noted by HipHopDX, Meek Mill is currently in prison for violating his probation following a 2009 drugs and guns conviction. He was sentenced to three to six months back in July and was reportedly denied an early release.

Last month, August Alsina spoke with Meek and shared their conversation in a video on Instagram.

"Ayo what's up? It's your boy Meek Milly right here. Me and August kicking it, talking this real young ni--a shit. Talking about how I gotta do it when I get back down. One love to everybody holding it down," he said in the clip.

Meek Mill's sophomore album Dreams Worth More Than Money was slated to be released in September. The album's release was ultimately delayed due to his incarceration. Rick Ross released a statement confirming the push back. He also mentioned Meek's dedication to making the album perfect and giving the album a proper release.

Stay tuned for more updates.
