On paper, it's a simple question - John Lennon or Paul McCartney? For Lennon or McCartney: A Beatles Documentary, Scared Goose Productions compiled answers from actors and musicians and it's actually more complex. Aaron Bruno of AWOLNATION may have put it best when he said, "Well, that's like saying, 'Who do you like more, your mom or your dad?'" The video is jam-packed with celebrities and members of Metallica, Arctic Monkeys and Fall Out Boy and they all weigh in on the question, ABC News Radio reports.

The mini documentary runs 30 minutes, and it's great to watch all 550 people fumble through the question. Some of the best answers don't even involve Lennon or McCartney. A few artists opt for George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Others say Lou Reed, Keith Richards and Jimi Hendrix. The answers came from 10 years of interviews.

In the end, Lennon won the friendly contest with the deceased icon getting 282 votes while McCartney received 196. Harrison was taken 15 times and Starr got four nods. A total of 50 people chose both of the artists, neither of them or declined to answer. Smart move.

McCartney recently reflected on Lennon's death. It's been 34 years since the singer was shot on Dec. 8.

"I was at home when he died. I got a phone call. It was so horrific. I could not take it in that he was gone. It was a very big shock. I was so sad that I was not going to see him again," he said. "And the guy who did it was the jerk of jerks. He was not politically motivated."

A few other good match ups would be Mick Jagger or Keith Richards, Roger Daltry or Pete Townshend, and Robert Plant or Jimmy Page.
