Icelandic avant-pop legend Björk is currently hard at work on her new album, and though it has yet to be given a title or release date, this morning it was revealed that the 49-year-old singer-songwriter has been collaborating with British electronic artist Bobby Krlic, a.k.a. The Haxan Cloak, on the album. This news came from Krlic himself, who revealed through his Twitter account that he has been working with Björk over the last several months.

The Haxan Cloak is known for its extremely dark and sinister style of ambient electronica, so perhaps this collaboration indicates a new gothic sound for Björk, which would be incredibly fascinating. This new album will be Björk's ninth studio album overall, her first since 2011's Biophilia. The Haxan Cloak's most recent studio album Excavation was released in 2013, and was its second studio album overall, following its self-titled 2011 full-length debut.

According to Billboard, Björk has also been collaborating with experimental hip-hop producer Arca, who is most famous for producing four tracks on Kanye West's Yeezus.

In addition to this new album, Björk will also be getting her own career retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, which will run from March 8 to June 7.
