Lil B is a treasured item of our musical generation. So when his apartment building caught fire, somebody had to be there to save the based god. According to a report, Lil B and six others were saved by 15-year-old Mateo Ysmael who ran through the building to wake everyone up so they would get out in time.
Lil B, real name Brandon McCartney, told the Contra Costa Times, "I'm grateful to be alive. If that kid didn't come knock on my door...." Many of his costumes and some of his music was music was destroyed in the fire.
McCart expressed his gratitude in a series of tweets.
