The Voice season eight is about a month away from its premiere date, but that doesn't mean that spoilers aren't already flooding the Internet. Today (Jan. 21), the first batch of celebrity musician mentors were announced, and some major names are joining coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Pharrell.

Meghan Trainor, Ellie Goulding, Lionel Richie and Nick Jonas will be the first round of celebrity mentors on the new season of The Voice, according to MTV.com.

Trainor will be training the contestants on Shelton's team, Goulding will work with Levine, Jonas and Aguilera are joining the former Disney star club for their team and Richie will be working with Pharrell.

Three of the four new mentors are no stranger to The Voice. Both Jonas and Trainor performed during season seven. Jonas brought his hit single "Jealous" to the top eight, performing a cappella with a gospel choir. Meanwhile, Trainor performed her second Title single "Lips Are Movin'" during last season's finale.

Richie, for his part, has been a mentor on The Voice before. Though he's working strictly for Team Pharrell now, the famous "Dancing on the Ceiling" singer previously helped along to contestants on Aguilera's team during season two all the way back in 2012.

The new season of The Voice comes just months after season seven called it a wraps, deeming Craig Wayne Boyd the winner of the show. Season eight will see a bit of a return to form, as original coach Christina Aguilera returns to the big red chair for her fifth season. Her place was held by Shakira in seasons four and six and Gwen Stefani in season seven.
