More festival news out of Austin today, Jan. 22, regarding the iHeartRadio Country Festival. Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley have been tapped as the headliners for the second annual event, which kicks off May 2. Rascal Flatts and Brantley Gilbert will also be on hand for the festivities, Rolling Stone Country notes.

"Every single one of these artists can headline an arena or stadium on their own, but on this night they will share the stage to celebrate the amazing music on our iHeartRadio country stations," John Sykes, president of the media company, said.

Although it is only celebrating its first-year anniversary, the iHeartRadio Country Festival already has a history of attracting big-name artists. Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan and Hunter Hayes were on the bill last year.

Also, iHeartRadio boasts a Las Vegas music festival, which was held in September, and a Christmas-themed event that took place last month.

McGraw's appearance at the festival will mark the beginning of a busy summer for the country legend. He will be hitting the road on his Shotgun Rider jaunt for the warmer months with stops planned for Philadelphia, Virginia Beach and Denver. Dates for the tour, which will also feature Billy Currington and Chase Bryant, have yet to be announced.

Paisley recently added new dates to his successful Country Nation World Tour, keeping him on the road through March.

Rascal Flatts also has a summer trek planned with Scotty McCreery slated to open. Their Riot Tour kicks off May 29.

Gilbert will support Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean on their merging tour extravangaza.
