Skrillex was in Park City, Utah, recently to get the crowd at Winterfest amped up during the Sundance Film Festival. He spoke with Billboard during his time in the Beehive State, revealing that his collaboration with Diplo, Jack Ü, is planning to release some new tunes soon. Some tracks have been years in the making, but in any event and EP or mini-album will come out in 2015.

Skrillex said the pair's labels, OWSLA and Mad Decent, along with their signature styles, complement each other well, which is why they decided to work together. They have been making music for a while now, and some of the tunes they are playing are demos from years ago.

"We're finishing like an EP/mini-album," he said. "We have like 10 songs now, but we're not going to put all of them out. We're going to save some for later in the year. But we're finishing it this week, actually, so it's going to come out sooner than later."

He also promised a big 2015 for the artists on his OWSLA roster, so be sure to look out for those releases in the coming months.

Skrillex dropped his first studio album last year via Atlantic Records. Recess hit No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Dance/Electronic Albums charts.

"And many of the elements that drove Skrillex's initial success are still somewhere in the mix on Recess: the suffocating low end, the serrated edges, the industrial-strength aggression, the disorienting collisions of sound shards, the vocals distorted until they sound like alien transmissions. This is still Skrillex, just with lots of constructive self-remixing," Rolling Stone wrote, giving the album 3 1/2 stars out of five.

The EDM star has a few dates scheduled overseas before he heads to Miami for Holy Ship! in February. He will be playing Lollapalooza in Chile, Argentina and Brazil as well. In May, Skrillex is headlining the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
