Britney Spears may have just debuted the music video for her second Britney Jean single "Perfume" on Tuesday (Dec. 10), but her fans are already calling for a take two. The video's director Joseph Kahn has taken to Twitter and written that his director's cut is the superior version, and now people are petitioning online to see it.

According to Kahn, the music video for "Perfume" was originally one minute longer, "shocking" and featured some heightened "Breaking Badney"-level drama. "Sigh," he wrote on Dec. 10 in a series of tweets. "Wish they'd release the director's cut of #perfume. Britney's performance is unbelievable. A true artist in it. Game changer. Official cut is a good video as you'll soo see. But it's a true loss not to see what she really did. It's incredible. Beyond other artists."

Kahn then went on to say the officially released version is "prettier" and "simpler" and that while he's happy with the final product, he "loves the DC so much more."

Likely, the director's cut of "Perfume" includes some scenes with a gun (and the pop star likely took revenge on her two-timing hunky boyfriend). Spears was spotted filming some of these scenes by photographers last month, but that portion of the video was eventually cut after Spears was surrounded in controversy for wielding the weapon shortly after wearing a Virginia Tech shirt.

It's hasn't been confirmed who exactly decided to cut the vengeful, murderous storyline.

In response to Kahn's tweets and the known scrapped footage, some of Spears' fans have created an online petition to encourage the release of the "Perfume" director's cut.

"RCA pulled the first original cut of Britney Spears' latest video "Perfume" and opted for a more simple, watered-down cut of the piece. Fans of the artist urge RCA to release what is now being referred to as the "Director's Cut" with a more bold ending, and various unknown differences," the petition reads before emphasizing the emphasis of streaming for Billboard's Hot 100 chart. "We believe that the possible controversy in the Director's cut will give the song the push it needs to aid its radio airplay and digital sales."

Two days after the petition was published it has over 11,000 signatures. Spears' label, RCA, has yet to respond to the request.
