Jennifer Garner has spent the last few years at home changing diapers and wrangling kids while her husband Ben Affleck has solidified himself as a Hollywood heavyweight. Many forget that long before she married and had three kids with Affleck it was Garner's career that was hot. She went from a successful run on Alias to making films that did well at the box office. Then she decided to put her young family first and pick up little projects here and there until she was ready to return to the spotlight for real. That time appears to be now. Affleck will be on daddy duty as Garner plans to work most of this year.
Garner attended an event in Beverly Hills yesterday, March 1, to promote Danny Collins and Garner was happy to dish on her plans for this coming year.
According to Us Weekly, she told reporters, "I've been home for a long time. It's my turn and I'm going to go to work this spring. I think I'll work the spring and summer, maybe the fall, too, as long as some of it's at home. I don't think my deals are done yet so I can't say, but yeah, I'm about to go to work. Ben is super busy and I'm super happy for him. I chose to stay home this year and just said, 'Go for it babe. Do it all. Do Gone Girl, do Batman, do The Accountant. Do everything.' I want that for him and I'm happy for him. And he says the same to me. Except that he's really busy. But he understands that when I really have to do it, we figure it out."
Garner has always seemed like one of those stars who can actually pick up almost exactly where she left off several years ago, doesn't she? So many in Hollywood fear taking time away because the business is so competitive, but Garner has always done little things to still maintain her place in Hollywood. Even at the Oscars a few years ago, she did not walk the red carpet with Affleck as his supportive wife. Instead she did it herself as an actress at a major event.
