Forbes released its year-end list of the Most Overpaid Actors and Adam Sandler is number one for the second year in a row. The Sandman made $3.20 for every $1 the studios paid him which is down from 2013 ($3.40). Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp and Ben Affleck also made the list. Unfortunately for Sony, Sandler's last three movies, which included the critically destroyed Blended, did not return the studio's investment on the actor.

Depp came in second, returning $4.10 for every dollar he was paid from his last three films. Ben Stiller came in third with $4.80. Check out the rest of the list below.

04. Ryan Reynolds - $4.90
05. Tom Hanks - $5.20
06. Will Ferrell - $6.60
07. Channing Tatum - $6.70
08. Denzel Washington - $6.90
09. Sandra Bullock - $9
10. Ben Affleck - $9.37

Some recently released emails from the Sony hack revealed that company executives are sort of cooling on Sandler.

There is a general "blah-ness" to the films we produce. Althought we manage to produce an innovative film once in awhile, Social Network, Moneyball, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, we continue to be saddled with the mundane, formulaic Adam Sandler films. Let's raise the bar a little on the films we produce, and inspire employees that they are working on the next Social Network. That said, there's a strange dichotomy of encouraging us to be fiscally responsible, but then upper management allows certain talent and filmmakers to bleed us dry with their outlandish requests for private jets, wardrobe and grooming stylists - and are surprised when they are asked to work more than 5 hours to promote their film.

Sandler will be just fine though - he inked a deal with Netflix to produce four films for the streaming service.
