In light of recent talk that Kelly Clarkson has been having trouble finding collaborators for her Piece by Piece album, Jimmy Fallon came to the rescue last night (March 2) on The Tonight Show and beautifully sang a number of duets with Clarkson.

Last month, Clarkson revealed in an interview with BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw, that she "repeatedly gets turned down for suggested guest spots." She explained she was pleased however, that John Legend sang with her on her track "Run Run Run," off her Piece by Piece album.

Well Legend isn't the only one enthused to sing with Clarkson, Fallon didn't hold anything back when he took the stage with his musical guest.

He set up the epic performance by saying,

"I was actually reading a piece last week that says she's been having trouble finding people to do duets with her, you guys hear that?" he asked the crowd. "Yeah-I don't understand what their talking about I would love to do a duet with Kelly Clarkson..."

Clarkson then enthusiastically pushes through the curtains, poking fun at her recent comments asking, "Did somebody say duet?"

Fallon and Clarkson joyfully grab hands and kick off their performance with none other than Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe."

Rolling Stone reported that Clarkson tweeted she was just joking about not being able to find duet partners. If it was indeed a joke, viewers are glad she made it — otherwise there might not have been another opportunity to watch Clarkson break out the robot or Fallon dress up as Aaron Neville.

The snippets the pair performed included duets:

Human League's "Don't You Want Me,"

Charles & Inez Foxx's "Mockingbird,"

Elton John and Kiki Dee's "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart,"

Aaron Neville and Linda Ronstadt's "Don't Know Much"

Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty's "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around,"

Jennifer Warnes and Joe Cocker's "Up Where We Belong,"

Paula Abdul and MC Skat Kat's "Opposites Attract,"

The two ended with the classic, "Endless Love," by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross to close the performance.

Piece By Piece released today (March 3) through RCA Records. In an interview with Billboard, the pop star said the decision to release songs one day at a time ahead of the album release was "the most genius idea."
