What would Star Wars be without the music of John Williams? The British composer gave that film a special dimension and helped revolutionize movie soundtracks. Now there is a festival that is putting the Star Wars set to good use.

Les Dunes Electronique is a festival just outside of Nefta, Tunisia, where the set was built, that takes place on the grounds of the Star Wars set for Tatooine. More specifically, it is on the site of Mos Espa, known to die-hard fans as the spaceport on Tatooine and was built specially by George Lucas for Star Wars. The exact spot is known locally as Ong Djemel, via Mixmag.

All of the huts and sand dunes are still in place, so if you ever wanted to go visit the set, possibly with your own lightsaber (new or old, they don't discriminate) taking on the Hutts.

The festival just wrapped up its third year and boasts a lineup that does not simply just rest on the laurels of its Star Wars heritage. It has brought in some quality international talent like Derrick May, Kölsch, Superpitcher and others. The lineup is rounded out with plenty of locals as well.

Attendees are afforded the opportunity to explore the set as well, so it not uncommon to find a Darth Vader and Princess Leah hand-in-hand walking the grounds.

The three day festival took place between Feb. 20–22.
