Apparently for Apollo Nida, life inside a Kentucky prison isn't going so well. Six months ago he was a Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member with a wife and two kids. Now he is jobless, about to be divorced and locked up for eight years on a variety of financial crimes including fraud and identity theft. While Nida seemed to work overtime to drag his wife, Phaedra Parks, down with him before he left, he's clearly the one rightfully suffering now. Finally the former television star has faced his current reality and is more than a little depressed.
According to a report by Radar Online, "Apollo is isolated and withdrawn. The only thing keeping him going are his two young sons with Phaedra. Phone calls with Ayden, 4, and Dylan 18 months, bring him a lot of joy. Although it's hard for Dylan to talk on the phone because of his age, Ayden tells his daddy he is taking care of his baby brother. It's incredibly sweet."
Recent attempts to garnish Nida's wages from work done on RHOA failed because he "began his prison sentence, and obviously his employment with the show has been terminated. Apollo doesn't have any money. There are no secret bank accounts, or hidden assets." says the insider.
It sounds like Nida is finally far enough away from the RHOA gang to be able to influence anyone now. Eight ears is a long time to sit behind bars and from the sounds of it he is finally beginning to understand that the life that he had even a year ago is long gone. Last we knew, Parks was refusing to bring the boys to visit their father in jail. She didn't want them to think that it was a normal situation for a grown man to find himself in. Plus before he left Nida's threats of violence likely affected her kids.
