Kelly Clarkson known for her powerful voice showcased her skills by covering the extremely soulful melody, Tracy Chapman's "Give Me One Reason."

Clarkson recently gave her fans fun snippets of her vocal talents on her duet skit with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show, but the singer took a different tone -- a bluesy one at that -- to cover Chapman's hit on Sirius XM

The Piece by Piece singer has been quite active with the March 3 release of her new album and an upcoming summer tour.

Sporting a partly shaved hairstyle, Clarkson recently told Popcrush the inspiration for her edgy look.

"It was right after River was born. I just had a really rough pregnancy. I went to my hair girl and I was like, 'I need something different, I need something to make me feel less like a mom," Clarkson told Popcrush. "Because I just felt like I was super locked up. I was just so sick all the time, I wasn't feeling good. I couldn't decide if I wanted to go blond or brown, then [the hairdresser's] daughter walked in. She had blond in the front and brown in the back, and it was shaved on one side. And I was like, 'I'm totally about to jack your style!'"

As Clarkson prepares for her upcoming tour beginning July 11, she plans to bring her daughter along for the journey. The singer told Popcrush that her tour bus is already "baby-proofed," with the crib and everything.

Although Clarkson has her tour plans with baby River Rose all sorted out, she laughed with Popcrush on her uncertainty for the future of her edgy hairstyle.

"I don't know how I'm going to grow it out!"
