Jason Derulo surprised his fans earlier this year by releasing the glitzy, pop-fueled single "Want to Want Me," one of the strongest songs in his discography. But for those who want to find comfort in the old Derulo, worry not, he's back with a funky, odd new single "Get Ugly." Oh, and there's a new album Everything is 4 on the way too.

Derulo released his second new single of 2015 on Tuesday (April 7), "Get Ugly." Moving away from the '80s-inspired pop of "Want to Want Me," Derulo went back to his R&B roots with this song that's bizarre from the outright. While the bassline is funky and groovy, Derulo's vocals feature the weirdest accent ever, which allows him to rhyme "god" "hot" and "Ciroc."

And though the bassline continues to groove and carry the song, Derulo keeps decorating the song with gargles and a freaky repetition of "diddly" that makes you feel dirty in all the wrong ways.

And we had such potential...

"Get Ugly" is the next single from Derulo's forthcoming studio album, which he announced alongside the track. Everything is 4 will be released on June 2, according to Idolator. The 11-song set is aimed to follow-up the release of his smash 2014 album Talk Dirty, which featured singles "Talk Dirty," "Wiggle" and "Trumpets."

In addition to "Get Ugly," "Want to Want Me" is also set to appear on the album. Though a release date, title and artwork have been revealed for the album, a tracklist is still forthcoming.
