Just last week, Dame Dash was hit with a lawsuit for the title of his forthcoming film, Loisaidas. Now, the hip-hop mogul is looking to settle his suit against Empire creator, Lee Daniels.

Dash's suit against Daniels stemmed from a loan given to the latter to make his 2004 movie, The Woodsman.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed that both parties and their attorneys have filed the necessary paperwork to end the lawsuit. The suit alleged that Dash lent Daniels $2 million that was not repaid. The latter then failed to make good on his promise to repay Dash through "rolling the debt over" into Daniels' future projects.

As noted by XXL, Dash was suing for monetary compensation, in addition to credit on and ownership of subsequent works by the actor, director and producer. Daniels claimed that Dash's loan was not recouped and he was duly warned of this possibility in the language of the initial loan agreement.

Both sides have agreed that this agreement could facilitate future collaboration.

Lee Daniels is currently working on the second season of his Fox drama, Empire.

Things don't seem to be going so smoothly in Dash's other legal battles. Michael Medina, a New York-based music producer, filed a Manhattan Federal Court suit claiming that Dash and Kanye West's film about street life is tarnishing his brand.

"I'm disgusted that they're taking a brand that I made and built and turning it into something that it isn't," Medina said. "We're a bachata group, we do music, we do videos, we do audio. It's not a movie based on something that happened - some street activities. That's not what I'm promoting."

Medina and his bandmates have been performing under the name Loisaidas since 2008. The name was reportedly trademarked in 2011.
