One Direction is continuing to move on after the departure of Zayn Malik. The "Night Changes" band has already removed the founding member from its promotional materials and videos for its On The Road Again Tour, and now 1D has released its first official press photo without Malik.

Today (April 13), One Direction's management company Modest Management (whom the band is still very much with, despite fans' protests) released the first simple official photo of a new One Direction without Malik, seen above.

The photo features Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson in various states of bewilderment, and as Vulture points out, none of the boys seem particularly happy to be taking the photo, which is set against a stark white background.

Despite their lack of joy in their new press photo, One Direction keeps trudging on. Payne tweeted out that the band has started work on its fifth studio album, due out later this year.
