Amid the controversy behind his recently released Barter 6 mixtape, Young Thug performed at Southern University in Lil Wayne's home state of Louisiana. Thug was booed by fans during his performance.

On Saturday (April 25), Thug took the stage in Baton Rouge when he was met with boos and "Hollygrove" chants from the crowd. He pointed out a few of the hecklers and kept the show going, replying "I still love you."

Ironically, Lil Wayne performed in Young Thug's hometown of Atlanta on the same night. According to reports, Wayne's tour bus was shot at after a concert at a nightclub. Local reports and Cobb police say the bus was shot at, but no bullets managed to strike the vehicle. As of this morning, there are no suspects in the shooting.

As of late, the two rappers have been at odds, initially stemming from a beef with Birdman's Cash Money Records and Thug's decision to move forward with the Carter 6 name for his project.

Last September, Young Thug shocked fans when he announced that he wanted to continue Wayne's Tha Carter series after it was reported that Tha Carter V would be his last solo album.

Considering the delay of Wayne's album and his feud with his longtime label home, many assumed the "Stoner" rapper would switch the title of his latest release and he did, but not until he was threatened with legal action.

"Can't name the mixtape Carter 6 'cause these f*ck a** n*ggas trying to sue, just like some hoes," Thug said in a clip posted on Instagram. He changed the tape's title to Barter 6.

Wayne recently voiced his disapproval during a concert in Ohio.

"Carter V coming soon; ain't no mother**kin' such thing as Carter 6," he said.
