Ed Sheeran did more than just provide snapshots of his life for the "Photograph" music video...he went ahead and added full video clips. Although most will find the footage of the English pop star to be adorable, some might complain that the media form contradicts the name of the song. If you realize that video is just a quickly-running stream of photographs, it works out. We swear.

"Photograph" serves as a mini-documentary/biography for the performer, beginning when he was a wee lad, heading into his years as a toddler and young man before ending up with the 24 year-old guitarist as we know him now...a superstar who hasn't forgotten his roots, evidently.

There are only really two themes running throughout the video: All the clips feature Sheeran (until proven otherwise...although based on the shocking red hair of the protagonist in the video, we'd say that it's probably the real deal. Even as a baby you can see the red sprouting from his scalp), and he's frequently seen toying with a guitar and other instruments, as youngin' and otherwise.

"Photograph" was released as the fifth single from Sheeran's smash second album, x. Fans are just getting used to the track as a radio single, so it's only gotten to no. 43 in his homeland of the UK thus far. We'll be able to get you United States tracking numbers next week. Those British charting numbers date back to 2014, 10 months before the song was even released as a single: The song was received as an instant download for those who preordered the album...and received enough movement to open at no. 44 on the singles charts.

Either way, the album has to be considered a success as a whole, having remained in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 for most of its 40-plus weeks on the chart.
