The Oscars are about to get a little bit chilly. Today (Feb. 11), it was announced that Queen Elsa, a-hem, Idina Menzel will be performing the rousing Frozen track "Let It Go" at the 86th Annual Academy Awards on March 2.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Menzel will take the stage and perform the dramatic track. She joins Pharrell Williams, who will be performing the Despicable Me 2 song "Happy."

Both Menzel and Williams are nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. "Let It Go" and "Happy" join Karen O and Spike Jonze's "The Moon Song" (Her) and U2's "Ordinary Love" (Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom).

After hearing the news of her Oscar performance, Mendel shared her excitement on Twitter. "It's really happening. I'm singing on the Oscars! Surreal. Thank u frozen family and Oscar producers for this incredible opportunity," she wrote.

According to WSJ, it was unsure whether or not Mendel would be invited to sing at the Oscars. Singer Demi Lovato, who recorded a pop version of "Let It Go" for the film's end credits and soundtrack, seemed to be a more favored choice to help expand the Oscars to a younger demographic and to help launch "Let It Go" -- which is already a top 30 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 -- on to radio formats.

It has not been announced whether or not U2 or Karen O will perform at the Oscars.

The Oscars will air on March 2 with host Ellen DeGeneres.
