Since the split of the Jonas Brothers in October 2013, the youngest JoBro Nick Jonas has been keeping himself quite busy. Not only is he the creative director on Demi Lovato's current Neon Lights Tour, but the 21-year-old is also aiming to make a return to acting. Yesterday (Feb. 13), it was announced that Jonas had signed on to star on a new television program, Navy St. for DirecTV.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jonas will star alongside Kiele Sanchez on the MMA-themed family drama. Jonas will play Nate Henderson, the youngest son of mixed martial arts gym owner Alvey Henderson (Frank Grillo), who receives a UFC fighting contract.

The show, which also stars Parenthood actor Jonathan Tucker, will deal not just with the dirty world of MMA but also drug addiction, which riddled the lives of those around Jonas' character. There's some love drama, too, as Sanchez is set to play his girlfriend.

Those familiar with Jonas' career will know that the DirecTV gig isn't his first foray into acting. Not only did her star on the Disney Channel program J.O.N.A.S. alongside his brothers Kevin and Joe, but Nick has also had guest starring acting roles post-Jonas Brothers, including guest starring spots on Hawaii Five-0 and Smash.

Jonas also has a history of acting on the Broadway stage. He got his start in the entertainment industry in New York as a child with roles in A Christmas Carol, Beauty and the Beast and Les Miserables. Most recently, he returned to the stage in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.
