Even in the midst of suffering a broken leg, Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters decided to continue touring while giving the fans a great 20th anniversary show in Washington D.C. The morning of the gig could've been used as ample resting time, but that would not have been too rock and roll, would it? Instead, Grohl organized a Rally & Ride motorcycle event on the morning of the Fourth of July.

The 9:30 a.m. rally featured a delicious, chef-created breakfast, coffee and a surprise gig with Grohl fronting an eclectic group of all-star rockers including Pearl Jam drummer Dave Krusen, Blind Melon guitarist Christopher Thorn, Foo Fighters keyboardist Rami Jaffee and singer-songwriter Johnny Kaplan, notes Alternative Nation.

Before unveiling his gigantic throne for the 20th anniversary show, Grohl sat with his purple-casted leg resting across multiple folding chairs, ready to launch into a cover to Neil Young's "Cinnamon Girl." Grohl and the one-day alternative super group also offered up a cover of the Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers staple, "B**ch." The Foo Fighters front man recently performed the hit track alongside Mick Jagger and the Stones during their Anaheim California gig in 2013.

Together, Kaplan, Frusen and Jaffee partake in an all-Rolling Stones cover band titled B**ch, reports Rolling Stone. The quick concert also marked an impressive occurrence in which the drummers on wildly classic albums, Nirvana's Nevermind and Pearl Jam's Ten jointly commanded the stage.

As the Rally & Ride gig came to a close, the concertgoers hopped back onto their respective motorcycles, which were necessary for admittance, and headed down to RFK Stadium for a Foo Fighters filled day in celebration of the band's anniversary of their self-titled debut. Fellow musicians and friends LL Cool J, Gary Clark Jr., Trombone Shorty, Joan Jettt, Trouble Funk and Buddy Guy all showed up for the mini-festival event which wrapped up with Grohl performing hit after hit from atop a gigantic, Oxycontin inspired guitar throne.
