Taylor Swift has apologized to Nicki Minaj for misinterpreting her comments on the 2015 MTV VMAs. Earlier this week, Minaj's music video for "Anaconda" was snubbed for Video of the Year, causing Minaj to call out the network for celebrating other "kinds" or musicians but not her, causing Swift to reply in the name of female solidarity. But now, Swift is admitting she "misunderstood" Minaj's tweets.

Minaj spent the majority of Tuesday (July 21) calling out MTV and the media for not nominating "Anaconda" for VOTY, and later, for misconstruing her words about the situation.

Then, Swift took the tweets personally, writing to Minaj saying that "I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other." However, now Swift is admitting she was in the wrong and has apologized to Minaj on Twitter.

She said that she thought she was being "called out" specifically because her music video "Bad Blood," which features a flurry of thin, white supermodels (and the thin, white Swift) was nominated for Video of the Year, while "Anaconda" was not.

And, it looks like all is well in the world of pop music, because Minaj has accepted.

Meanwhile, Swift has yet to apologize to someone who much less subtly called her out, Katy Perry. Perry, who is reportedly the subject of "Bad Blood," criticized Swift for condemning pitting women against women when that's exactly what her new single does.

Meanwhile, Minaj HAS tweeted at Perry, so maybe this isn't all over yet.
