Here's some much needed attention for Bay Area up-and-comer, Nef the Pharoah. YG and Ty Dolla $ign remix young Nef's breakout hit "Big Tymin'," which pays ode to the Big Tymers, the former Cash Money duo of Baby (now Birdman) and Mannie Fresh. "Big Tymin'" has been a hit in The Bay, and the new remix looks to take it nationwide.

Nef dropped the track at the beginning of the year, and it's been heating up ever since. The video, which now has over 1.5 million hits on YouTube, has Nef and his crew in some unfamiliar settings, from a decrepit trap house in the middle of a field to some suburban tennis courts. And he's "ballin' like Baby" the whole time.

"Whoaaa, I'm ballin' like Baby / These b*tches, they wanna have my baby / I'm Fresh like Mannie / That's why a f*ck n*gga can't stand me," Nef chants on the undeniable hook.

Though Nef went down south for his first hit record -- a distant interpolation of Big Tymer's "Still Fly," with a beat that could've come from Mannie himself (mixed with a little Mustard) -- he's the next big thing to come outta The Bay. He recently signed with Sick Wid It Records, owned by Bay godfather and fellow Vallejo native, E-40. He made a cameo in 40's new "Choices" video and before that, in Kendrick Lamar's "Alright."

L.A. takes over on the remix with verses from Bompton's own YG and his Pushaz Ink teammate, Ty Dolla $ign, both leaders of the West Coast renaissance.

YG recently brought out Nef when he, as part of J. Cole's "Forest Hills Drive" tour, performed in The Bay, so the remix isn't too surprising. And the My Krazy Life rapper drops a HARD verse that mentions the recent shooting he was the target of -- getting shot three times outside an L.A. studio.

"Ayy, they say I'm Brazy / I got shot and left the hospital the same day / I got hit in the hip, but I walk the same way / They tried to take me from my newborn baby"

Ty Dolla $ign released the song yesterday as part of his weekly #FreeMyHomieFriday releases. Last week, he remixed Major Lazer's "Lean On."
