Major Lazer, the dancehall/EDM fusion group led by superproducer Diplo, scored their biggest hit ever with "Lean On," off their latest album, Peace Is the Mission. The single also features French producer DJ Snake and Danish singer . The international hit has inspired several remixes, the latest of which comes from hybrid rapper/singer Ty Dolla $ign.

Ty Dolla keeps the lush, summery vibes of the original and adds some of his signature west coast swagger. He only lends one verse, and some backing vocals on the breakdown, but his careful touches are enough to add fresh twist to the infectious beat -- and keep it in our rotation for the remainder of the summer.

The "Blasé" singer has always been ahead of his time, able to tackle eclectic club-leaning productions that blur the lines between hip-hop, R&B and EDM. His "Lean On" remix is no different, as he quickly sinks into the atmospheric synths with a smooth, spontaneous verse that mimics the sudden onset of intoxicants and feel-good party vibes.

This isn't Ty Dolla's first time working with Diplo. The Jack Ü member produced Ty's "Stand For," released last November. "Stand For" is the lead single off Ty's upcoming debut album, Free TC, which he plans to release later this year.

Dolla $ign's "Lean On" is the summer hit's first hip-hop re-work. We've gotten a wide range of electronic remixes from guys like Dillon Francis, CRNKN, Moska and more. Listen to all of those here.

The new song is part of Ty's #FreeMyHomieFriday weekly release giveaways, in honor of his incarcerated brother, TC, for whom Ty's debut album (Free TC) is named after.
