Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama's beloved puppy Buddy has died in a tragic accident. On Wednesday morning (July 29), the "Cool for the Summer" singer told her fans that her dog of just eight months had passed away though he will never be forgotten.
Lovato made the sad announcement in a Twitlonger. She spared the details of how Buddy died and asked for privacy and love as she grieves the little dog's death.
"We are absolutely heartbroken to be writing this but Wilmer and I are devastated to inform you that we lost our little angel Buddy last Sunday. He was taken from us way too soon in a tragic accident and though I will never know why this had to happen, I do know that God only puts us through situations that we can handle so with that, together we our staying strong. We have incredible people around us and so much love and support which is holding us up in this time of need," she wrote.
Buddy, who made a huge splash on social media after Lovato got him for Christmas 2014, became a bit of an icon for Lovatics. Lovato made the pooch his own Instagram account, where he helped to promote her new music and connect with fans.

"Buddy was loved by so many people and as small as he was, he made a huge impact in our lives. He truly was human in a way and we were so blessed to have him in our lives," Lovato said.
