Empire season two is just getting bigger and bigger. Yesterday (Aug. 5) as she was getting her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Mariah Carey was announced as the latest guest star to join the hit FOX series by its creator Lee Daniels.

Daniels presented Carey with her star on the massively famous Hollywood street, and in doing so, he made a huge announcement on who will be joining Taraji P Henson's Cookie, Terrance Howard's Lucious Lyon and the rest of the cast this fall: Carey herself.

"I love you with all my heart. I'm so proud of you. Watch her on Empire, guys. She's coming on Empire," Daniels said, in video captured by E! News.

Carey's role in the show has yet to be revealed and fans don't know how long she will be on the show for, but she's joining an ever-increasing list of R&B superstars on the show. Kelly Rowland is set to play Lucious' mother in a flashback scene. Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, Chris Rock and more are also set to appear on season two of Empire.

The list of big names on the show should come as no surprise to fans. Even in its inaugural year, Empire had a lengthy list of guests stars, including Courtney Love, Estelle, Rita Ora, Mary J Blige and more.

As for Carey, her stint on Empire won't be the only time she's set to appear on TV screens in 2015. The "Infinity" singer is also planning a Christmas movie for the Hallmark Channel, fittingly titled Mariah Carey's Christmas Project.
