It is a good day when Kygo shares new music, but this past Friday, the "Firestone" DJ was in an extra giving mood when he decided to deliver two new tracks to the world - "Here For You" featuring Ella Henderson and a remix of Of Monsters and Men's "Dirty Paws."
The instrumental mix of "Here For You" was originally unveiled as an "ID" used in a lot of the promotion for Ultra Music Festival this year. Kygo performed on the live stage earlier this year and the tune has been sitting around without a proper release. He now adds UK vocalist Ella Henderson to the track in a rare turn to a female vocalist after tabbing men like Conrad, Parson James and Will Heard for his tunes.
The track is familiar to most fans, but for those just tuning in for the first time, it is the track Kygo that feels is his strongest work to date.
It is now available for purchase on iTunes and streaming below on Spotify.
The Monsters & Men remix is something brand new from the Norwegian. According to Kygo, it has been lying around for nearly a year, but he felt like posting it onto his SoundCloud page Friday after several months of just focusing on singles that will presumably be found on his upcoming album.
The remix has the original tropical Kygo sound that he first became so popular for. The male vocals from lead singer Nanna Brydís Hilmarsdódttir glides effortlessly over the soothing Kygo-produced beat.
There is no official word on how or when this remix will be released. If is hard to imagine that the Icelandic band would let the opportunity to revive their name with a Kygo remix slip away without making it official.
