5 Seconds of Summer have a new album Sounds Good Feels Good out on the horizon, and though the band has been relatively quiet in recent weeks, the record rollout continues on. After dropping new songs "She's Kinda Hot," "Jet Black Heart" and "Fly Away," on Thursday (Sept. 17) 5SOS dropped its new album opener "Money." The track is now available for fans who have pre-ordered the band's sophomore effort.

Unlike the other Sounds Good Feels Good tracks 5 Seconds of Summer have debuted thus far, which sound like a case study in the history of pop-punk, "Money" contains the very essence of 5SOS itself. There's a big description of womenswear (remember her American Apparel underwear), drums that beg to be banged in a major arena and a chorus of four boys screaming together: "Take my money!"

Aside from returning to its sonic roots, on "Money," 5 Seconds of Summer maintain the rebellious streak its established by singing about living the wild life with a newfound punk queen. "Black jeans, white T, black Converse / You know she gets it right / Blue hair, blue eyes, I saw her / I couldn't help but I was like / I wanna be in the game / I wanna know know your middle name," the boys of 5SOS sing at the top of the track before moving on to other fun time activities.

It's the sort of strong anthem that any big rock album needs to kick off, so it's good to hear 5 Seconds of Summer have done it again.

"Money" is the first track off of 5SOS' new album Sounds Good Feels Good. Currently led by single "She's Kinda Hot," Sounds Good Feels Good will be released on Oct. 23.
