Saturday Night Live is going to celebrate spring this year with an eclectic round of musical guests. Today (March 19), the late night sketch comedy show announced its next three performers (and hosts) for season 39.

According to the SNL Facebook page, crooner Sam Smith will take on Studio 8H on March 29 (alongside host Louis CK), Pharrell Williams will perform on April 5 with "Cups" singer Anna Kendrick as host and Ed Sheeran will make things all sorts of chill on April 12 with Seth Rogen.

This will be the first SNL performance for all three musical guests and it comes at a good time for each of them.

Smith, who's buzzing in the music world now with his latest single "Money On My Mind" will be dropping his debut full-length album In The Lonely Hour on May 26 and will likely be prepping the album's third single "Stay With Me" before his SNL debut.

Meanwhile, Pharrell is undeniably having a huge moment in 2014, with his latest album G I R L selling like hotcakes and the album's lead single "Happy" landing at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a month.

Finally, like Smith, Sheeran is rumored to be releasing the follow-up to his 2011 album + sometime this year, so SNL could be a great opportunity to debut some new music.

This manly trio of musicians join the likes of Miley Cyrus, Drake, Kings Of Leon and Beck, who have all performed on Saturday Night Live this season.
