Fans of Empire will have to hold out for a new episode. This week’s edition was postponed due to the World Series airing on FOX.

According to the International Business Times, those who have been tuned in to the ongoings of the Lyon family won't have answers to the major cliffhanger until the matchup between the New York Mets and Kansas City Royals ends. The site notes that the hip-hop soap will be on hiatus for at least a week.

As of now, Empire is expected to return with its sixth episode, "A High Hope For A Low Heaven" on, Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 9 p.m. EST. However, if the World Series goes to a Game 7 it will be played on the night of Nov. 4, meaning a new Empire would be pushed back to Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Once season 2 resumes, Lucious and Cookie will team up to find their son Hakeem, who was kidnapped at the end of episode 5 while running in a park. Jamal is eager to help find his little brother but his parents advise him to stay away from the situation. He opts to record new music. Andre, who was appointed president of Gutter Life Records presumedly makes some shaky business deals which leads to him bumping heads with Lucious again. While Cookie is on a hunt for her son, she may have found a new love interest. Promo for the new episode shows Cookie sharing a kiss with Laz, played by Adam Rodriguez. He helped protect Cookie after two men broke in to Lyon Dynasty to steal her masters and plant bugs to spy on the new company.

It was previously reported that season 2 of Empire would expand to 18 episodes from season one's modest 12, structured in two halves with a major cliffhanger between.

While anticipating the show's return, recap episode 5 here and check back with us for updates on this season of Empire.
