The release of Coldplay's seventh studio album, A Head Full Of Dreams, has been looming with no official date for some time. Now, the wait seems to be over as some very observant London fans have decoded a cryptic advertisement in the London Underground that reveals a Dec. 4 release date for the Chris Martin-fronted band's new record.

A Twitter post by a London fan had first uncovered the news, showing the ad that consisted of a cryptic multicolored 'flower for life' geometric image and the date. It was later revealed Martin was actually wearing a t-shirt with the same pattern on it during their recent set at this year's Global Citizen Festival.

According to NME, Martin recently commented on the new album's finality. "It's our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it's like the last Harry Potter book or something like that," he said. "Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something... I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise we wouldn't put everything into it."

Coldplay's new album A Head Full Of Dreams will serve as a follow-up to the band's 2014 album Ghost Stories, which won a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album last year, and is out now via Parlophone/Atlantic Records.
