During a lengthy 24-hour interview, Ed Sheeran used the time to discuss his involvement in Taylor Swift's ever-growing squad of best friends, tell the story of how Jay Z once called him an alien and surprisingly, to admit that he had never listened to a single Radiohead album.

The British singer-songwriter decided to detail exactly just what it means to be a part of Taylor Swift's crew, along with Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, Lorde and many, many more. "Of course," Sheeran replied when Billboard asked if he's a member of the crew, confirming that he does in fact hang out with the female clique. "It's not a vaginas-only club." While on the subject of the opposite sex, the "Photograph" singer offered some personal insight when it comes to relationships and publicity. "I just never want to be public. It always, always backfires," he explained. "I really wish I could disappear at moments that I'm with a significant other. It's none of anyone's f---ing business."

Although the "Thinking Out Loud" singer spends most of his time in the spotlight, he admitted that when it comes to the music industry, he's a bit behind. "I don't stream anything ever...I don't even really get it. I buy everything off iTunes or physically," he said."I've never listened to a Radiohead album, to be honest. I didn't hear a Bruce Springsteen song until like two years ago, and now I f---ing love Springsteen. I didn't hear Michael Jackson songs till I was 14. I like discovering things on my own. I want to have that moment of 'holy shi*t,' the moment of the epiphany."

The X singer then continued to detail his impedning third solo album, describing his vulnerability to the fresh LP, calling it his "little baby," as E! notes. The artist who normally doesn't care what people think of his music feels a bit differently towards his latest venture. "This project is a lot more dear to me. I'm nervous about how it's going to be received," he said. Rap mogul Jay Z listened to a sample on repeat, later calling Sheeran an alien, which he thought was "promising."
