A new video allegedly released by Islamic State (ISIS) surfaced online Monday morning (November 16), threatening an attack on Washington, DC and promises to attack any other country who supports or participates in the air strikes against Syria. The hostile threats warned of a similar fate to last week's Paris massacre that killed more than 125 people.

The video first appeared on a website frequently used by Islamic State to post messages, according to Reuters. It begins with footage of men fully armed with guns and other weapons, next the man delivering the message, reportedly identified in the subtitles as "Al Ghareeb the Algerian."

The video message was intended for countries involved in what he called the "crusader campaign." These areas are same coalition nations using air strikes to target the jihadist group.

“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” the man said.

“I say to the European countries that we are coming, coming with booby traps and explosives, coming with explosive belts and (gun) silencers and you will be unable to stop us because today we are much stronger than before,” a man said in the full version of the video uploaded to Reuters.

ISIS reportedly claimed responsibility for the massive shootings and bombings that took place on Friday (November 13), which resulted in 129 deaths, including an American student. The Paris attacks included three suicide bombers at Saint-Denis national stadium and shootings at a restaurant, bar and the Bataclan Concert Hall.

French president, François Hollande, officially referred to the bloodshed in Paris as an "act of war" and the government has refused to cease its air strikes against ISIS in Syria and Iraq. They launched their largest raid in Syria to date on Sunday (November 15), the operation was carried out with help from United States forces.

According to New York Police Department Commissioner, Bill Bratton, New York City is "most likely" to be hit next with these sort of attacks. He revealed law enforcement have been continuously working hard to prepare for and prepare against another attack similar to what happened on September 11, 2001.
