Boosie, also known as Lil Boosie or Boosie Badazz took to Instagram today to share some tough news with his fans. According to the now deleted caption, the Baton Rouge rapper has been diagnosed with kidney cancer.

The post still remains online, but the caption was deleted after his team saw it. The caption read, ""I need all my fans to pray for me doctors told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is power that's why I'm letting the world know."

The diagnosis was confirmed by Noisey with the rapper's label.

Boosie is just 33 years old and has been living with diabetes for some time. Earlier this year, Boosie was hospitalized for dehydration after a string of shows.

The Louisiana rapper released his first album in five years in May titled Touch Down 2 Cause Hell. His career has been riddled with legal troubles ranging from gun, drug and murder charges. In 2010 he was indicted on first-degree murder and drug charges. He was only found guilty of the drug charges and eventually sentenced to eight years in prison. He was released five years early in 2014 when he was able to get back into music and back out on tour.

Stay tuned for any official word or statement from Boosie or his team about the diagnosis or any treatment that he may have to undergo to beat this disease. We wish Badazz a speedy recovery so he can back to making music and touring. There aren't any tour dates announced now, but don't anticipate seeing him much on the road for the next few months.
