• Tyga Surprise-Drops New Album; Lil Wayne Guests, Kylie Doesn't [LISTEN]

Tyga became the latest rapper to drop an album by surprise, but we have to wonder if The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty is meant to remind people that he's an emcee...and not just Kylie Jenner's boyfriend. The drop came on June 23 and the album can currently be heard on Spotify exclusively.

Lil Boosie's long-awaited album Touchdown 2 Cause Hell is coming next week, but those who pre-ordered the effort have been given an early taste with the song "Black Heaven" featuring J. Cole for a verse and Keyshia Cole on the hook. • French Montana, Lil Boosie Announce Future Film Roles [WATCH]

It is essentially a rite of passage for hip-hop artists to have a cameo or involvement in a major motion picture to elevate their careers. Hip-hop is a visual genre by nature, and that is not exclusive to solely creative album covers these days. French Montana and Lil Boosie agree with this sentiment and recently announced that they will be acting in movies as the new year continues. As told in a BET interview feature, French Montana spoke about his plans for 2015, saying, "Definitely next year (2015) [I'm] on the acting tip. I came in on the 'Cocaine' set of DVDs. I just love the visuals, so I definitely went to L.A. [and] I'm definitely trying to put something together as far as a movie. I've got a movie called 'Respect the Shooter' coming out early next year." Lil Boosie is also joining the fun and discussed his potential involvement in filming an autobiographical film to accompany his forthcoming album, "Touch Down 2 Cause Hell." Lil Boosie told BET, "In 2015 you can expect the album, you can expect the movie. I'm shooting my life story movie, it's crazy." The rapper has also referred to his idea for "Boosie the Movie" in the past, mentioning that in addition to song-writing, he writes his own films as well.
  • Rich Homie Quan Shares 'Ain't Trippin'' Feat. Young Thug, 'Blah Blah Blah' Remix [LISTEN]

Fresh off the success of their recent Rich Gang mixtape, Atlanta rappers Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug have shared a new collaborative track titled "Ain't Trippin'," which you can check out below. It is not clear if this is a leftover from their Rich Gang sessions, though it could also be a new cut, since their co-conspirator Birdman does not make an appearance. Though the track definitely has a typical hip-hop beat — typical for 2014, anyway — there seems to be more singing than rapping going on. You can check out Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug's "Ain't Trippin'" here: Quan and Thug's Rich Gang mixtape "Tha Tour: Part 1" was released in September and spawned six singles: "Tell Em (Lies)," "Imma Ride," "Freestyle," "Soldier," "Milk Marie" and "Flava." "Tha Tour: Part 1" was Quan and Thug's most-recent, full-length release, and neither have yet to release a studio album. Thug claims his debut album will be titled "Tha Carter VI," since Lil Wayne plans on "Tha Carter V" on being his last, while Quan's upcoming album has yet to be given a title. "You can expect Drake on my album. You can expect Boosie on my album," Quan told "Hot New Hip-Hop." "You can expect Thug on there. You can expect Wayne ... I gotta get Nicki on there." "That's why I'm still waiting," he continued, "That's why you ain't heard it yet. I'm still working on it. I gotta get Big Sean on there. A lot of these my idols. People I looked up to coming into the game." In other Rich Homie Quan news, the 25-year-old rapper also shared a remix of his track "Blah Blah Blah" yesterday, featuring new verses from Ty Dolla $ign, Fabolous and Dej Loaf. You can check out that track here:
  • Lil Wayne, Big Sean, More Drop Verses In DJ Mustard's "Face Down" Lyric Video [WATCH]

Hip-hop producer DJ Mustard has shared the lyric video for his track "Face Down," featuring Lil Wayne, Big Sean, YG, and Lil Boosie, which you can check out below. The video basically shifts back and forth between two background images: a silhouette of a pole-dancing stripper for the chorus (of course) and a ton of neon-lit hundred dollar bills floating through space for the verses (of course). As for the lyrics themselves, let's just say that these aren't exactly the type of lyrics that deserve any extra attention, but here we are.

  • Yo Gotti Shares '11/11' Produced by Infamous [LISTEN]

Yo Gotti's upcoming studio album "The Art of Hustle" was originally promised for release today, Nov. 11, but if that does not end up happening, at least we have a new leak from the album, appropriately titled "11/11," which you can check out below. The Infamous-produced song features an eerie beat reminiscent of minimalist composers such as Philip Glass or Steve Reich, so this does not quite sound like your typical hip-hop track. You can check out Yo Gotti's "11/11" here: The Art of Hustle will be Yo Gotti's seventh studio album overall, his first since 2013's "I Am." Prior to "11/11," two other songs have also been shared from the album: "Errbody" and "I Feel Like" featuring Lil Boosie.
