Electronic producer and musician, Tycho, real name Scott Hansen has unveiled some new plans for 2016. The Dive producer has unveiled the release date and tracklist for a brand new remix album for his 2014 LP Awake, which will include reworks from the likes of Com Truise, RJD2, Vampire Weekend's Baio and others. He is also plotting a new tour across the United States to kick off the year in February, taking the act indoors for some intimate club shows across America.
Tycho released his album Awake in 2014. The ambient, electronica, post-rock album glides seamlessly from start to finish with stunning soundscapes like the photos that he likes to snap and share on his social media pages.
Awake Remixes will be released as a digital download on Jan. 15. For those who want a physical product will have to wait another five months on May 15. The vinyl will run customers $18. Pre-order your copy of the album here.
In addition to the new remix album, Tycho is also going a breakneck-paced tour across the United States, playing nine gigs in 11 days. He will kick things off on Feb. 10 at Club Vinyl in Denver, before heading across the country playing spots in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York and ending in Detroit. He will be joined by Nitemoves or Autograf for select stops on the tour.
