Hilary Duff considers herself a pretty big Fleetwood Mac fan. "Little Lies" may have come out in August of 1987, before the "Coming Clean" singer was born, but that didn't stop her from stepping into the studio and putting a dance spin on the classic rock tune.

Adam Anders and Peer Astrom produced the cover while Alex Anders controlled vocal engineering-a trio comfortable working with one another having combined their talents for the many popularized covers on Fox's Glee. The "Little Lies" dance remix was specially crafted for the former Lizzie McGuire star's TV Land comedy, Younger.

"TV Land called me. And it's like when the boss is calling you, and you're like, 'What did I do now?'" The "Chasing the Sun" singer joked to People. "They were like, 'We want you to cover a song for the promos for the second season.' And I'm like, 'Oh my God. Yes, of course, I would love to.'"

The 28-year-old actress added that "Fleetwood Mac is seriously one of my favorite bands of all time."

Instead of trying to mimic Christine McVie's original arrangement, Duff decided to go "a little heavier and a little darker" by swapping in synthesizers and layered, echo effects to construct a dance-leaning crack. The accompanying video splices together shots of the mother of one singing in a recording studio with scenes from Younger. The selection of "Little Lies" most likely referencing the main focus of the TV Land series, which follows a woman in her 40s and she lies about being in her 20s.

The "Sparks" singer recently split from her hockey playing husband Mike Comrie, with whom she shares a son, Luca. The two have kept civil and friendly during the separation.

Younger returns to TV Land on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 10 p.m.
