If you smell what The Rock is cooking then you're going to love his recent announcement! On Monday (Dec. 28), actor and semi-retired professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson revealed via his personal Instagram account he will be returning to the ring for WrestleMania 32. The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on April 3, 2016.

The 43-year-old kicked off his career in the world of professional wrestling and has been an active participant in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), which was formerly known as the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), from 1996 to 2004. He has often made surprise appearances after calling it quits, to fulfill the wishes of fans.

Johnson went on to start a successful acting career, starring in box-office hits like San Andreas, the Fast & Furious film franchise, The Other Guys, and more. He currently stars and executive produces on the HBO sports comedy series Ballers and is expected to show off his singing skills in the 2016 animated Disney movie, Moana.

"IT'S OFFICIAL: People's Champ is coming home to do 3 things with THE PEOPLE: Set an ALL-TIME attendance record, ELECTRIFY Dallas like never before & make all time #WRESTLEMANIA history," Johnson wrote in his Instagram caption. "And we have FUN."

Since his defeat against John Cena at WrestleMania 29, the 10-time world champion has not stepped foot in a WWE ring to wrestle. Information has not been released regarding Johnson's actual involvement in the event, so at this point fans do not know whether he will be making a special guest appearance or if he will be returning as The Rock.

This is exciting news for the man who recently welcomed his second daughter earlier this month with longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian. Johnson's first daughter, 14-year-old Simone, from his previous marriage to Dany Garcia is now a big sister.

"Ok that's four things but you know what the hell The Rock's sayin'... THANK YOU #WWEUniverse! It's always an honor coming home and I wouldn't miss it for the world," Johnson said. "#PeoplesChamp4L #MakingElectrifyingHistory #SmackethLaidDownOnThyCandyAsses."
