Coachella is not an EDM festival, per se, but rather a celebration of all genres of music. Despite a wide-ranging lineup, there's a major electronic element to the 2016 lineup, from headliner Calvin Harris to smaller acts like Snails and "Selfie" DJs The Chainsmokers. If you're looking to dance in the desert this spring, we've listed the Top 10 EDM artists who are playing at Coachella 2016 and their best tracks from 2015 last year to get you ready.

10. Snails

The Owsla signed artist (Skrillex's label), known as Snails, is one artist that emerged on the scene in 2015. The release of his track, "King Is Back" featuring Big Ali back in June, was one of his biggest releases in 2015, and with support from the likes of Skrillex, Diplo, Excision, Flosstradamus and more, Snails surely warrents attention at Coachella 2016.

09. Tchami

The French producer and DJ had a strong 2015 with the release of his AFTER LIFE EP, via his official soundcloud page, but the track that set Tchami apart from the rest in 2015 was his incredibly unique remix of Carlonie Koch's track, "Timeless," which dropped in April. After listening to Tchami's wide range of musical talents in this remix, there's definitely a reason why he'll be playing in the Californian desert come April.

08. Thomas Jack

Thomas Jack played a surprise set at Coachella's Do-Lab last year when the festival cancelled Kaskade's set due to saftey issues. His set was killer (witnessed first hand) and got fans really excited for the rest of Jack's 2015. As noted by Billboard, despite Jack's accomplishments such as signing with the legendary Pete Tong for his own iHeart Radio show, Jack hadn't come out with an original track until late 2015. In Novemeber, Jack released his first original composition, "Rivers," featuring Nico & Vinz. Through his signing with Pete Tong, his tropical house mixtape series, which have been becoming increasingly popular via his Soundcloud page, and Jack's smooth and sexy tropical house vibes, there will defintiely be a good draw to Jack from fans at Coachella this April!

07. KSHMR

KSHMR flew under the radar in the beginning of 2015 and ended the year as one of the biggest names in EDM. KSHMR was had some good tracks under his belt in 2015 with his remix of Martin Garrix & MOTi's track, "Virus," and his remix of Galantis's hit track, "Runaway," both of which certainly helped get him exposure. But, what really pushed KSHMR over the top in 2015 was when he linked up with with Tiesto to release their hit track "Secrets." The song was released in March and almost immediately blew up, eventually going on to be the No. 1 track on Beatport's Top 100 Chart; three days after being released. Since then KSHMR has been on everyone's radar and should be on yours too.

06. The Chainsmokers

The Chainsmokers, known for their culture changing tracks "Kanye" and "#SELFIE," certainly are no strangers to the limelight and big stages. Although a big name in the EDM world, the duo released a massive track in March of last year with, "Let You Go," featuring Great Good Fine Ok. The track has amassed close to 7.5 million plays on their Soundcloud page to date, and with a loyal following already, there's no surprise these guys are headed to the desert for Coachella 2016.

05. Flume

Flume had kind of a crazy 2015, as he started off the year by announcing that he was leaving What So Not, the group comprised of himself and his counterpart, Emoh. As a final parting in late 2015, What So Not's Gemini EP was released, which was the duo's final piece of work together. After Flume broke off from What So Not, one of the biggest tracks he released on his own was his remix of Sam Smith's "Lay Me Down." The remix dropped in April and has gathered close to 15 million plays via his Soundcloud. What So Not actually played at Coachella 2015, so Flume is a seasoned Indio performer.

04. Zedd

Zedd's been in the EDM game for quite a long time now, as he got his name out there about five years ago when he remixed Skrillex's, "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites," and then a few years later, remixed Skrillex again, with his flip of "Breakin' A Sweat." 2015 was a big year for Zedd as his released his sophomore album with, True Colors, and dropped one of 2015's biggest dance hits with Selena Gomez, "I Want You To Know," which climbed its way into the Top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, and has a play count of 80 million on YouTube. With all of Zedd's accolades and pop crossover appeal, it's no surprise he's in the 2016 Coachella Lineup.

03. Calvin Harris

There was a lot of speculation as to who would take the third headlining spot at Coachella this spring, as the rumors of LCD Soundsystem and Guns N' Roses making their triumphant returns were almost certain to be two of the three headliners, and when the lineup was released, none other than Calvin Harris had locked in the third headlining spot.

Harris was named the highest paid DJ of 2015 by Forbes, and although he didn't crack DJ Mag's Top 10 DJs of 2015 (he was No. 11), Harris still had a very strong 2015. Released in late 2015, Harris & Disciples dropped "How Deep Is Your Love," which proved to be another highlight in Harris's 2015 campaign with over 330 million plays on YouTube. Harris is playing on day three of the festival, closing out Coachella, and he's sure to do so with a bang.

02. Major Lazer

This should come as little surprise that Major Lazer, the trio comprised of Diplo, Walshy Fire, and Jillionaire are No. 2 on this list. Their track, "Lean On," with DJ Snake and , which was released in early 2015, climbed into the top 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart, and No. 1 on their Top 100 Dance/Electronic Chart. With over 2 million followers on Facebook, and over 130 million plays on their "Lean On" track, this trio is sure to bring the fire to the desert.

01. Jack Ü

2015 was the year of Jack Ü, the duo comprised of masterminds Skrillex and Diplo. it all started when Jack Ü wowed the EDM world at Ultra Music Festival 2015 in March. After that performance, Jack Ü went on to release a massive EP, and quite possibly the most notable dance song of 2015 with "Where Are Ü Now" featuring Justin Bieber, which made it to No. 1 on Billboard's Top 100 Dance/Electronic Chart. With all of Jack Ü's accomplishments in 2015, it would be tough not to see these guys on the Coachella lineup, and fortunately for fans, if you haven't yet to see this duo perform live, you'll get to when they take the stage (most likely in the Sahara Tent) on day one of Coachella 2016.
