Seems like The Voice will have to find another blonde pop star to alternate seasons with Christina Aguilera. According to a new interview, Latina superstar Shakira won't be returning to the NBC singing competition anytime soon.

According to Digital Spy, Shakira has seen her coaching gig on the show as "temporary" and hasn't set a return date.

"For now, no, I don't have any plans of coming back. This was always a temporary thing for me to do," she said. "Honestly, I've had a blast. I love the show, I love the people on the show the producers, the fellow coaches. It's been real fun."

Instead of focusing on The Voice, Shakira will be turning her attention to her first career as a singer and her family. "But right now, I have to go on with my life as an artist. I'm not really a TV celebrity and I have to prep a tour and also do other stuff, like being a mother."

For season 7, The Voice mainstays Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will be joined by Pharrell Williams and No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani. Christina Aguilera is confirmed to return as a coach for season 8 after taking two cycles off.

Original The Voice judge Cee-Lo Green also noted that he will not be returning to the show.

Shakira has been one of four judges for two seasons of The Voice, season 4 and the current season 6. She released a self-titled album in March, which spawned singles such as "Can't Remember To Forget You" and, most recently, "Dare (La La La)."
