Rumors that Gwen Stefani would be joining the seventh season of NBC's The Voice have now been confirmed. According to Billboard, the No Doubt singer will coach alongside Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton this fall.

At the beginning of Tuesday night's episode, Carson Daily made the official announcement.

"Before we start the show, I want to make a very, very big announcement for us here -- hold on, listen! This all just happened moments ago because we're live, and we're very happy to officially announce that two superstars will be joining the next season in these coaches' chairs: Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani will be added to the Voice family," he said. "We're so happy to have them join our ever-growing Voice family. They're both incredible people, insanely talented."

As Billboard points out, rumors of Christina Aguilera being pregnant with a second child began circulating in February, though NBC announced she would be back next spring for the show's eighth season.

Stefani had reportedly been debating between roles on The Voice and ABC's Rising Star, but ultimately chose The Voice. It is unclear what will happen if Aguilera comes back, but it will likely depend on the response Stefani gets as a new addition.

On May 5, the show will introduce the two new judges during their telecast with William's performing "Come Get it Bae" and Stefani performing "Hollaback Girl."
