The season six premiere of Pretty Little Liars is making its way back to television on Tuesday (Jan. 12). Before fans get reintroduced to the characters after a five-year jump in the drama-thriller series, Freeform network (formally known as ABC Family) and media outlets have released several clips and spoilers to increase the hype. PLL star, Troian Bellisario, might have the latest spoiler surrounding Spencer and Caleb dating rumors.

If this is the first time you're hearing about this rumor, then you're probably just as shocked and concerned as other PLL fans. As more season six details are revealed, the more questions arise, including: are Spencer (Bellisario) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) an item?

"First of all, they're consenting adults that have aged five years," Bellisario told Bustle. "And while of course you would hate it if one of your best friends got involved in a relationship with whom you loved in high school - that would be a huge betrayal."

The 30-year-old California native spilled the beans on her relationship with Blackburn on the series, without blatantly giving a "yes" or "no," but with her using words like "huge betrayal" and "consenting adults," all signs point to them dating.

Bellisario went on to talk about the deep friendship her character built with both Caleb and Hanna (Ashley Benson) throughout the seasons. Spencer played a big part in helping Caleb recover from his drinking problem, while also remaining encouraging of Hannah and Caleb's relationship as it was dwindling down after the dollhouse incident.

"The interesting thing for me this season is that Spencer and Caleb have always had an incredible relationship," Bellisario told Bustle. "They're always the smartest people in the room, so they really respect each other, and they love hanging out. And the thing is, they both have incredible love for each other and for Hanna."

Bellisario is excited about the amount of attention the rumor has generated and is looking forward to see how fans will react once the truth is revealed. Benson revealed the five-year jump left her with an amazing job in fashion and engaged to a new man. Does this mean she won't mind that her best friend is possibly dating her first love?

There's only one way to find out if the rumors are true. Find out what the women have been up to by tuning in to the season six winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars on Tuesday (Jan. 12) at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.
