Like Simba and his daughter Kiara sang in The Lion King 2, "We Are One." Now, for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte are expressing a similar sentiment. Today (May 16), the Latin-flavored trio released an official music video for their Brazillian World Cup anthem "We Are One (Ole Ola)."

The official music video keeps to a simple premise: Pitbull, JLo and Leitte party and perform in the colorful streets of Brazil while dozens (if not hundreds) of Carnival-ready people swarm around them and dance. Of course, in the spirit of soccer/football for the World Cup, there's also plenty of footage of old sportsball matches cut into the music video.

The three musicians don't really seem to share any screen time all together in "We Are One..." it's more like "we are two separate groups with one single." Pitbull performs not just with the Carnival dancers but also in front of a wall for much of his rapping parts. Meanwhile, the two ladies, Lopez and Leitte, have their own little Carnival group, this time complete with lots of short dresses and booty-bouncing dancing from the chanteuses.

I think the three may come together for like 3 seconds during the middle/end? It was hard to tell for sure, the editing in this clip is lightning fast.

In the end, though, like all of Pitbull-driven music, "We Are One" is harmless fun. It's a spirited ode to the sport of soccer/football and the FIFA's 2014 home base of Brazil, and the music video reflects that, in the most easy-to-digest way possible.
