Alexandre Pato is currently on loan from Corinthians at São Paulo in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, but the Brazilian footballer could be making the move to England soon. The 26-year-old former AC Milan striker is the main topic of transfer rumors and news surrounding Premier League teams Liverpool and Chelsea FC, according to reports.

Managers Guus Hiddink and Jurgen Klopp are allegedly going to go head-to-head to sign the Brazilian goal-scorer during the transfer window. The striker hasn't been shy about possibly playing in the Premiership, and has spoken with his fellow Brazil National teammates that have the experience in the league.

"I don't think the physical part of English football would be a problem. When you get the ball, you need to be ready. The defenders here are very tough but I like that. I have spoken to Willian, [Roberto] Firmino, [Phillipe] Coutinho and David Luiz before," Pato has said previously, according to The Independent. "One day I knew I would like to come to England because I think the championship is the number one in the world. It is very competitive."

According to SBNation's We Ain't Got No History, Pato's loan deal with Sao Paulo has expired, but he hasn't traveled to the United States with Corinthians this week. Instead, he's reportedly in London with his agent to finalize a deal with Chelsea, despite rumors that Liverpool had been closer to signing the footballer (via The Telegraph).

If he really is favoring the defending Premier League champions, that's good news for Chelsea fans. After a dismal season, a striker is exactly what the team needs, especially with injuries and more plaguing the roster.
