Though reports of their breakup have circulated throughout the Internet, Diddy and Cassie (Ventura) seem to still be going strong, and the media mogul remains just as influential in making decisions regarding the singer's personal life and her career choices as he was when they first began dating. In fact, Terrence J (Jenkins) explained in a recent interview how he had to get Diddy's permission before having multiple intimate encounters with his girlfriend.

When it was time to get up close and personal and start touching, loving and kissing the "Me and U" singer, Jenkins struggled to make it happen; feeling a little apprehensive to actually "go there" with Diddy's (Sean Combs) girlfriend. Before he was able to relax into the role of Cassie's new man, he had to get Combs' permission.

During his Tuesday March 8 interview on the Wendy Williams talk show, Jenkins spoke on his new role in the film, The Perfect Match, set to be released on Friday March 11, where he plays Charlie, a young playboy who is dating a beautiful woman named Eva, the character played by Ventura.

The film, produced by Jenkins and Queen Latifah, explores the developing relationship between Charlie and Eva and features a lot of love scenes that Jenkins felt a little uncomfortable completing, believing that Diddy would "kick [his] ass" for touching his girl. It wasn't until he got on the phone with his long time friend that everything was put into perspective for the former BET 106 & Park host.

"Well she (Cassie) called me and was like 'somebody wants to talk to you,' Jenkins recalled of the conversation with Puffy. "[She] handed the phone to him - 'hey playboy' [he said] you know, in the Puff voice and he was just like I'm going to be more upset with you if the movie's wack and y'all don't deliver than I will be if you put your hands on her."

The Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man actor explained how he and Combs go way back and how the Bad Boy Entertainment executive provided his first suit for his first BET Awards experience. Though making out with the media mogul's longtime girlfriend put Jenkins a little on edge, he was relieved to know that he and the film had the Comb's full support.

In addition to Jenkins and Ventura, the film's cast also includes Paula Patton, Lauren London, Donald Faison, Robin Givens, Dascha Polanco, French Montana, Draya Michele and more according to Vibe.

The film's Los Angeles premiere took place Tuesday night according to YBF with many of the film's cast, directors, producers and supporters among the list of attendees.
